M. D. Ingalls

December 29, 1921 — January 2, 2010

Myron (Mike) D. Ingalls, age 88, died January 2, 2010.  Memorial services will be held at Anna Street Church of Christ, Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 2:00 P.M.  Rev. Gene Shelburne and Rev. Jim Shelburne will officiate. Private Inurnment will be held at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Mike was born December 29, 1921 in Anson, Maine, to the late George and Elsie Ingalls.  He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945 in World War II.  Mike married Ruby Ingalls, on July 29, 1944, in Amarillo, TX.  After World War II he was employed by Southwestern Public Service Company from November, 1945, to December, 1983.  One of his favorite pastimes was golf.  He would play every day if he could find someone to play with.  He also loved to hunt and fish.  His hobby was making furniture for his daughter and all of his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Elsie Ingalls. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Ingalls; one daughter, Jenelle Smith and husband, Gene of Amarillo, TX; three grandchildren, Jeannine Bellinghausen and husband, Alan of Amarillo, TX, Michael Smith and wife, Martha of San Antonio, TX, and Kenny Smith and wife, Chely of DelRio, TX; seven great grandchildren, Traycee Dewey and husband, Kevin, Tiffany Wilborn, Shannon and Nathan Bellinghausen and wife, Amanda, Cody, Wesley and Willson Smith and five great great grandchildren, Celese and Chris Wilborn, Ayden Dewey, and Daulton and Daniel Howard. The family suggests memorials to the High Plains Children’s Home, P.O. Box 7448, Amarillo, TX  79114, or Anna Street Church of Christ Missionary Fund, 2310 Anna Street, Amarillo, TX 79109.
