Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 16th at The Claude Cemetery. Rev. Jim Yates, will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mrs. Knierim was born February 9, 1916 in Hedly, TX to E.C. and Tuela Carswell Kerley. Maciel recently resided in Ft.Worth, TX, but was a long time resident of Claude, TX. She loved her family and her church. She took joy in the simplest of life’s pleasures like cooking for others. Marciel lived a long, full life leaving great memories for her grandchildren and great grandchildren to enjoy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four siblings.
Survivors include her two sons, Jerry Knierim and wife, Myrna of Carrollton, TX and John Knierim and wife Marilynn of Crowley, TX; a sister, Opal Willis of Amarillo, TX; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at the Schooler Funeral Home in Claude, TX, on Tuesday, December 15th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The Church of Christ, The Claude Cemetery Fund, or The Charles Roan Memorial Fund all of Claude, TX, or a charity of your choice.
