Margaret Ann Fomby

Margaret Ann Fomby, 79, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, TX.
A memorial service at First Baptist Church will be performed by Dr. Howard Batson on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
She is the daughter of the late Buddy and Geneva Freeman of Shreveport, LA and is survived by a son, William Boyd Fomby III, also of Amarillo, a sister, Janet Brickell and husband, Bill, of Florida and a brother, Harry Freeman and wife, Mary, of Georgetown, TX.
Ann was preceded in death by husband, William B. Fomby, and daughter, Kimberly Ann Fomby Watkins, as well as two brothers.
Ann retired from teaching after 40 plus years. As an active member at First Baptist Church, she sang in the choir and was often a soloist. She was very active in the children's ministry and went on several foreign mission trips.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to The Bill & Ann Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church, 1208 S. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101 or The Ann Fomby Scholarship Fund at East Texas Baptist University.
