A visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 6th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Schooler Funeral Home. A Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7th, at Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Dora was born on April 4, 1936, to Enrique and Apolonia Vigil in Bovina, TX. She attended grade school in Texaco, where she was proud to be a Wolverine. She excelled in sports, playing basketball and baseball. Dora graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. She enjoyed traveling with her husband during his military status. Dora was known for her humbleness and servant hood. She was not a materialistic person and took joy in helping others. Dora was very supportive of St. Bonaventure Mission and School. She supplied them with blankets, clothing, school supplies and donations. She was very family oriented and loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters; her one brother; and her son, Enrique Orvel Blunt in 1978. Survivors include her husband, Ray Blunt of Amarillo; her son Mario Joseph Blunt and wife, Ernestina of Amarillo; her two daughters, Graciela Blunt-Massey and husband, Nolan of Amarillo and Kathy Noel of Tennessee; her granddaughters, Jade Contreras and Kiona Blunt of Amarillo and eight other grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her brother, Nick Vigil and wife, Mary of Amarillo; her special friend, Toni Olguin of Amarillo and her many friends and extended family at El Vaquero Restaurant in Amarillo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Bonaventure Mission and School, 25 Navarre Blvd. W., Thoreau, NM 87323.
