Mariana Mercedes Montanya

Mariana M. Montanya, beloved mother and friend to all, was escorted home by the angels on Friday, February 24, 2012.
Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Chapel with Msgr. Joseph Tash officiating. Burial is at Llano Cemetery.
Mariana was born on July 20, 1928 in Parral, Chile to Juan Abel and Julia Mercedes Moraga. Mariana was an excellent cook, loved gardening and her pets. She loved to travel and was especially fond of her patron Saints, Padre Pio, St. Martín de Porres and St. Bernadette. Mariana was elegant, classy and carried with her that Hollywood glamour of old.
She was preceded in death by three grandsons, Ian and Ryne McDonald and Ryan Baca.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra McDonald and husband, Steve of Amarillo and September Baca of Corpus Christi; five sons, James Montanya and Eddie Baca of Canutillo, TX, Nick Montanya and Dennis L. Baca both of Amarillo and Eric Montanya of Albuquerque, NM, ; five grandchildren, Jeff and Nicolas Montanya, Sean McDonald, Alina Razo, Nick Baca and Devin New; and great grandchildren, Aria, Tytan and Jaylon Montanya.
Her grace, dignity and courage will forever remain in our hearts.
