Marianne Gallagher

Marianne was born August 13, 1928 in Okarche, Oklahoma to Lorenz and Mary Schenk Schlecht. She was the youngest of seven children. She married Bob Gallagher November 26, 1956 and they had two sons, Gregg and Garry. She graduated from Draughon’s Business College and went to work as a secretary for Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after 28 years of service. Marianne was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was active in Holy Spirit Circle. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with her friends.
Mrs. Gallagher was preceded in death by her parents and son, Gregg on August 10, 1989.
She is survived by husband, Bob; son Garry and wife Susie of Austin and their two children, Christopher and Brianna.; a sister, Agnes Emmerich of Okarche, Oklahoma; a brother, Joe Schlecht of El Reno, Oklahoma.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all the wonderful people at BSA Hospice for their loving care of our beloved Marianne.
