Marilyn Ruth Kiser

Marilyn Ruth Kiser, 74 of Amarillo died August 5, 2021.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2021 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo, Texas 79110. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas.

Marilyn was born in Wheeler, Texas on September 18, 1946 to Jessie and Ruth Ledbetter. She was married to Bill Kiser.

Marilyn was a nurse in the 1980’s. Following nursing, she went into truck dispatching. Marilyn was a “Western Mother trucker. She was a true Texas Panhandle woman and loved the“Cowboy way of Life”.  Family was top priority for her. Marilyn cared for everyone, never met a stranger and “lived Life large”.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kiser and her son, BJ McKnight.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Peggy Gentzel and husband Dwayne of Kemah, Texas; her two sons: Ronald Gatlin of Amarillo, Texas; Michael Gatlin and wife, Linda of Walters, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Meagan and husband, Jose De Leon of Santa Monica CA, Austin Gentzel and wife, Kelsie of Tyler TX, Lindsey, Maegan and Philecia; her great-grandchildren: Cooper, Easton, Peyton, Kylee, Brody, Shawn, Mason and Gatlin.
