Marilyn Talley Leach

Marilyn T. Leach, 72, of Amarillo, passed away February 28, 2016.

Celebration of life services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Anna Street Church of Christ, 2310 Anna St., Amarillo, Texas 79106 with Gene Shelburne and Lyndon Latham, ministers of Anna Street Church of Christ officiating.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas 79110.

Mrs. Leach was born on January 14, 1944 in Winters, Texas to W.C. and Mattie Talley.  Marilyn was a graduate of Tascosa High School, Class of 1962.  She married Danny Leach on November 13, 1965 in Amarillo.  She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1949.  Marilyn was a devoted wife and homemaker.  She had many interests but her greatest was her passion for God and service to her church family.  She was a member of Anna Street Church of Christ.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill, Jerry and Hollis Talley; and a sister Anna Higgins.

Marilyn is survived by her husband Danny Leach; a daughter Michelle Leach; sons, Danny Leach, Jr.,
Christopher Leach and Kyle Leach; sisters, Frances Oglesby, Dorothy Morehead and Marita Evans; brothers Tommy Talley, Vernon Talley and Theron Talley; grandchildren, Jada and Berkley Price and Jacoby Leach; and a great granddaughter, Brileigh Price all of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Christian Relief Fund, 1501 SW 58th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79110 or American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo, Texas, 79109.
