Marinita C. Russell died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in Amarillo, Texas.
Mrs. Russell was born October 15, 1943, in Bakersfield, CA. Her parents made their home in Amarillo where her father, Haskell O. Trigg, helped build many landmarks. Her mother, Nita raised Little Mary and was a devoted homemaker. Marinita started her own family in the early 1960s with Anita, Diana, and Little Jimmy. She found her soul mate and married Ronald Russell, April 14, 1979.
Mary and Ron devoted much of their time and love into aviation ventures. They adored working with the English Field Air and Space Museum. They also enjoyed traveling to visit family, friends and aviation museums. Mary was devastated by the sudden illness and eventual death of Russ in April, 2011.
Mrs. Russell went to dance with Jesus, and attempt to get Russ to dance, on June 19, 2012. Her children, James Howard and wife, Brenda, Diana Brenner and husband, Brian, and Anita Howard and partner, Susie, will miss her immensely. Mary and Ron are also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mary’s Life Celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 22, in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Chaplain Sherman Eastland will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
