Services will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Polk Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Burt Palmer, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Marjorie was born in Garden City, Kan., to Amel Edward Landgraf and Grace Avis Marmon Landgraf on June 25, 1923. Marjorie was the oldest of six brothers and two sisters. She was a strong believer in education. She attended Garden City Junior College and received her degree in speech pathology from the University of Denver, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Marjorie was a life time member of the Methodist Church and was an avid supporter of the arts.
Marjorie married Sebel V. Hands in Garden City on Aug. 20, 1946. He and his brother, Hollis Hands, moved to Amarillo in 1960, where they enjoyed their medical practice together. They always officed at 2418 W. Eighth Ave., where their sons now practice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebel V. Hands M.D.; a brother, Roger Landgraf; and a sister, Marion Weinman Schultz.
Survivors include a daughter, Hollis Ann Hands; a son, Victor V. Hands M.D. and wife Caroline and their children, Amber and Sara Hands; brothers, Wilbur Landgraf and Norman Landgraf, both of Garden City, Richard Landgraf of Paris, Ark., Larry Lee Landgraf of Phoenix and Amel Landgraf of Blackshear, Ga.; and a sister, Phyllis Corrigan of Garden City.
The family suggest memorials be to Sebel V. Hands Nursing Scholarship Fund at Amarillo College, P.O. Box 447, Amarillo, TX 79101; Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or a memorial of choice (no flowers/plants).
