Mark Randall Huey, 66, of Amarillo passed into the glory of Heaven and his personal savior on December 28, 2021.
Mark will lie in state for visitation on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 8am to 12pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. The family will hold a private burial at a later time.
Mark was born on January 15, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to James “Jim” and Jan (Stevens) Huey. He attended Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas and prior to graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. Following his departure from the military, Mark obtained his GED.
Mark was a very simple man. He lived his life with a type of laid back style that only he could pull off. With this attitude towards life, he held a huge heart to help others. He found great joy in making sure everyone was taken care of and loved them all. His mother Jan was his greatest blessing. He cherished her with all of his being.
Mark was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being in the open country and fishing when he could. He also fancied himself a true cowboy. He was never far from his boots or his hat.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Jim. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved mother Jan, brothers Jay and wife Mary Kate Huey and Jerry Huey; as well as many other family and dear friends.
