Mark Louis Miller

October 16, 1957 — February 16, 2022

Amarillo

Mark Louis Miller, 64, of Amarillo entered the glory of Heaven on February 16, 2022.

A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 2pm in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 6900 Hillside Rd with Rev. Joe Andrajack presiding.

Mark was born October 16, 1957 in Borger, Texas to Wilbur and Karen (Schultz) Miller. He graduated from Borger High School and would attend Midwestern State University where he played and excelled in baseball.

In 1983, Mark made the choice to dedicate his life to serve the State of Texas and graduated from the Department of Public Safety State Trooper Academy. For the better part of 30 years, Mark served the great state of Texas selflessly and honored the badge until his retirement in 2011. During his career, Mark would marry his beloved Cynthia Ray on August 26, 1995. Together they raised two sons, Michael and Matthew.

When Mark wasn’t patrolling the highways, he could often be found watching any and every sport that was on TV. It didn’t matter if it was baseball, football, or ping pong; if it was competitive, he was watching it. Of course his favorites were the Texas Rangers Baseball Team and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL. Even with all of the sports and service to his state, he still found time to maintain a well-manicured lawn that was flush, colorful, and very well edged in.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Wilbur and his brother Michael Miller. Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife Cindy, sons Michael and Matthew, mother Karen Miller and sisters Susan Borchardt and husband Bobby, and Kim Brawley and husband Danny; as well as many beloved friends and dear family members.
