Marla Joan Rogers Burge, 54, of Amarillo died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Fellowship Church West Auditorium with Kyle Wilkinson, associate pastor of Pastoral Care, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Marla was born on Aug. 1, 1960, in Amarillo to Mervin and Thelda Camp Rogers. She married Richard Burge on June 23, 1990, in Washington Avenue Christian Church in Amarillo. Together they enjoyed going to the dirt track races and to various NASCAR events. She was also a fan of football and hockey. Together they founded and operated Tex-Air Mechanical Services. Marla cherished time spent with Richard and was devoted to him and their “four legged children”.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her four legged children, Spike, Bear and Lucky.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Burge; a sister, Marilyn Spring of Amarillo; four brothers, Marlin J. Rogers of Fort Worth and Melvin Joe Rogers, Mark Jeffrey Rogers and Milton Jarome Rogers, all of Amarillo; and her four legged children, Sassy Fay and Texi Dawn.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
