Martha Ellen White Biglow age 101 of Amarillo died June 8, 2016
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 2:00 PM at Llano Cemetery. Robert Sego, nephew, will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Martha was born November 22, 1914 in Canute, Oklahoma to Dr. Thomas Charles “T.C.” and Lina White. The family moved to Bobo, Mississippi to be near Dr. White’s ailing father but T.C. himself died after a few years.
Mrs. White moved her family to Amarillo where Martha received most of her early education. She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota. After graduation she returned to the Texas Panhandle. Martha then moved to Salida, Colorado, to work and it is there that she met her beloved husband, Walter L. “Roy” Biglow. She worked in California and Texas while Roy served in the Navy. Martha and Roy enjoyed traveling and took a number of tours and cruises.
There were no children, but a number of well-loved nephews, spouses of nephews, a few cousins and many friends all of whom she dearly loved.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11th from 12 PM until 1 PM.
