Martha L. Blue, 77, of Amarillo, formerly of Lubbock, TX died Saturday, July 9, 2016.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Faith Clinic Christian Center Church with the Dr. Lee A. Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., Amarillo.
Ms. Blue was born May 20, 1939, in Lubbock, TX to Isom and Mabell Bolton. She worked as an LVN at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock for 33 years. She was passionate about raising her family, serving in ministry, bowling, and line dancing. Martha is best remembered for her sweet spirit and beautiful smile. She was a member of Faith Clinic Christian Center Church and formerly a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Lubbock, TX.
She is survived by one sister Sue K. Brown of Arlington, VA. Her beloved children; daughter, Paulette Scott and husband Beno of Amarillo; son, Terry Bolton of Lubbock, TX; son, Rex Blue of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Sheila Bolton of Lubbock, TX and son, Anthony Brown and wife Adrianne of Memphis, TN. A niece, Tisha Pryor and three nephews, Kevin Pryor, Ken Laryea and Justin Laryea. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, and one sister, Mary Bolton.
Martha Blue will be remembered as a God-loving woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12, from 6-7 pm at the funeral home.
