Genie Stephenson Kincaid of Amarillo died December 3, 2012, at the age of 91.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012 in Llano Cemetery. A reception will be held at Amarillo Country Club immediately following the service. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Genie was born in Amarillo on December 2, 1921, to George Clayborne Harrison, Jr. and Mary Alma Billodeau Harrison. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1939 and attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University, where she studied art. She was an avid bridge player and a gifted artist. She and her first husband opened The Colony Art and Frame Shop in 1965 and operated it until 1987, when they sold it and retired.
Genie married Warren Kincaid in 1992; he preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, George C. Harrison, III; and her sister, Marcille Harrison Tompkins; and her son-in-law, Marvin Sentell.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie Stephenson Sentell of Kerrville; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Lisa Stephenson of Dallas; three grandchildren, Mike Sentell and David Stephenson, both of Austin; and Christie Stephenson of Fort Worth; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
