Martha Ellen Stone

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19th, at Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, TX.  Brother Jerry Davey will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia, Amarillo, TX .Martha was born on August 18, 1916 in Russellville, Kentucky, to Ruben Robert and Tinnie Hardin Stone.  She married Estal Lee Stone.  Martha worked at Brown’s Meat Locker in Stratford, TX.  She died March 16, 2010, in Amarillo, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband; her sisters, Alma Williams, Ora Corsey, and Susie White; and her brother, Walter Hardin.Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Ann Stone Proffitt of Amarillo; her son and daughter-in-law,  Robert Glenn and wife, Karen Stone of Aurora, CO; her grandsons, Robert David Stone of McKinney, TX, and Bryan Scott Stone and wife, Roxanne of Denver, CO; her great grandchildren; Cambri Kian Stone and Jackson Blaine Stone; her sister, Mary Warnken Davis and husband, Charles of Dumas; her sister-in-law, Bess Stone of Stratford, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
