Martha Julieta A. Vega, 55, of Amarillo died October 17, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Martha worked at the VA Hospital as a CNA. She was small in stature, but huge in presence. Mrs. Vega loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an amazing cook who was known for her hot sauce. She is survived by her husband of 33 years.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Jose Fransisco Vega; a daughter, Elizabeth Vega and fiancé Raul Roy Soto; a son, Luis Alberto Vega and wife Trisha; a sister, Nelly Villagomez; a brother, Cristobal Villagomeza; her parents, Manuela and Salvador Villagomez; and five grandchildren.
