Marvin D. Luna, age 73 of Amarillo died November 8, 2011 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Rev Wanda Huie and Rev. Ed Huie will officiate. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Luna was born in Farmersville, Texas on May 31, 1938 to Carl Sr and Verlyne Luna. He married JoAnn Hallauer in 1982 in San Diego. The family moved to Amarillo in 1994 from California. Mr. Luna was a country boy who loved the simple things in life and John Wayne.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by a brother, CarL Luna Jr
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; daughters, Sherri Sinyard of Amarillo; Susan Jones of Nevada, Renee Wilkes of California and Rhonda Jones of Nevada; sons Grant Nollner and Scott Nollner both of Amarillo and Wade Luna of California; four sisters; three brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
