Marvin M. Price age 75 of Amarillo died December 29, 2010Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday January 3, 2011 at Westview Christian Church with Ron Kohler officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S Georgia St.The family will receive friends Sunday January 2, 2011 from 3 to 5 at The Back Porch Restaurant, 3440 Bell St.Marvin was born to Jess and Mary Ethel Price March 28, 1935 in Mulhall, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army and was ranked PFC at the time of his discharge in 1958.He married Twila Thompson October 21, 1956 in Hutchison, Kansas. Together they had four children. They moved to Amarillo in 1986. He worked for Groendyke Transport as a driver and retired in 1998 after 25 years, where he received the two million mile award. He was a man of Christ and was a former deacon at Westview Christian Church. He was a John Wayne fan and enjoyed western movies and shows. He never met a stranger and would sit and visit with anyone who needed a friendly ear. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, grandchildren and his dog KoKo.Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and three brothers.He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Twila J. Price; one daughter Marie D. Neusch and husband, Leonard of Amarillo; three sons, Martin D. Price and wife Sally of Lyndon, Kansas; Michael D. Price and wife, Rose of Mounds View, Minnesota; Merle D. Price and wife, Ruth of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Ada Aufleger of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Darlene McMurphy of Sterling, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, Sarah and husband, Kelley, Rachel, David and fiancé, Raquel’, Mark, Ryan, Courtney and fiancé Jason, Will, Jake, Derek and Fiancé Dara, Stephenie, Markie, and Jason; one great- grandchild Gunnar.Memorials to be made to Westview Christian Church Building Fund, 6810 Hillside Rd Amarillo, Texas 79109
