Mary C. Ashley

Mary was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Alvin and Madeline Ashley. As a young child she moved to Lakewood, Colorado and mastered the art of snow skiing in the Colorado Mountains. She moved to Amarillo and attended Tascosa High School, Amarillo College and West Texas State University. Her greatest love was being the best mother to any and all of her fur babies! She has framed pictures of her pets all through her home. They were always her treasured possessions.

Mary loved Las Vegas trips, and went as often as she was able. If you knew Mary, you know painting her nails was a priority. She loved to bake cookies at Christmas time, and that was her way of saying “thank you”! Mary was an avid Beach Boys fan. She always considered herself a “Daddy’s girl”, and was a proud aunt and great aunt to her nieces.

Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents Dr. Charles and Katy McCormack, and Levi and Mary Ashley. Her beloved parents, Alvin and Madeline Ashley.

She is survived by her sister Bonnie Lasher and husband Steve, nieces Ashley Lasher and fiancé Richard Wellesley; and Katie Adlong and husband Shea.  Her great nieces Madeline and Bristol Adlong and her beloved dog Duke.
