Memorial Services will be at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Sherman Eastland, Chaplain of Odyssey Hospice, will officiate. Inurnment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia, Amarillo, TX.
Mary was born on March 30, 1927 to Charles Luther and Clemmie Williams in Oklahoma.
She married the love of her life, Charles Frank Cantwell, Jr. on April 29, 1944 in Bellevue, TX. Mary was a resident of Amarillo for many years then moved to Albuquerque, N.M. where she spent the past six years living with her daughter, Sherry before returning to Amarillo in July. Mary loved to read, crochet and, cook. Her most treasured times were those she spent surrounded by her precious family and her puppy Cheeto.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lefaye Blackmon, her brother Frank Williams, and her husband Charles in 2003.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Nalda of Albuquerque and Lea Pickens and husband Larry of Amarillo; son, Roger Cantwell and wife Jess of Medford OR; 7 grandchildren, Angela Nalda, Patricia lbarra, Alisha Harris, Jared Pickens, Justin Pickens, Tara Cantwell, and Jill Gregg; and 9 Great-Grandchildren, Kensley Harris, Cohen Pickens, Amber Lucero, Eric Lucero, Autumn Lucero, April Lucero, Ashley Ibarra, Albert Ibarra Jr., and Travis Gregg; and one great-great granddaughter, Nevaeh Silva.
The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX. 79107.
