Mary Frances Clancy, 82, of Amarillo, entered heaven on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Mary was born in Boaz, Alabama, on September 13, 1942, to her parents, John and Girturde Coe.
She was a spirited, vibrant, and loving mother who deeply cared for her family. Mary married her sweetheart, John Tillery, in Amarillo on June 26, 1982. They spent a wonderful forty-three years together before John’s passing in 2023. During her working career, she was a correctional officer for the TDCJ, spending eleven years there.
Despite her small stature, Mary was a force to be reckoned with and full of life. Mary was even given the nickname “Crazy” by her beloved grandchildren. Her favorite things to do included belly dancing and fishing; she was also the first to help volunteer to clean any fish they had.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, and her sister Marie Mobley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Bob Tillery, Billy Tillery, and Steven Tillery; daughter Patricia Maples; and four grandchildren, Julie Lane Maples, Seger Maples, Elizabeth Tillery, and Tony Tillery.
