Mary Ellen Ellis

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 15th, at St. Stephen United Methodist Church.  Dr. Stan Cosby will officiate. Private Inurnment will be held at Ralls Texas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. Mary Ellen was born October 13, 1932, in Big Springs, TX.  She married W.C. Ellis, Jr. on January 29, 1954, in Lubbock, TX.  She is preceded in death by her husband.  Survivors include her two daughters, Jana Thurman and husband, Steve, of Amarillo, Texas and Joyce Cook and husband, Kenneth, of Shallowater, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Hammond of Stephenville, Texas; two grandsons, Todd Thurman and wife, Tisha, of West Branch, Iowa and Ty Thurman and wife, Lea, of Juarez, Mexico; and two great grandchildren, Marlee Thurman of West Branch, Iowa and Baby boy Thurman, due May 2010, in Juarez, Mexico.
