Mary Sue Evans

Mary Sue Evans, 77, of Amarillo passed from this life peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 16, 2018 with her loving daughters by her side. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Sue was born September 8, 1940 in Amarillo to Clarence A. and Sadie Evans. She attended schools in Amarillo, graduating from the newly opened Tascosa High School in 1959. Sue is remembered as a great hostess, always having something to offer in way of refreshment to every visitor; an “on the spot” great cook.

She was a wonderful Mom, Granny Sue, Arkansas Sister and friend, and the prettiest girl in the room.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her sister; Linda Banks and husband James of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Lynne Ainsworth and husband Eddy of Mineral Wells, and Janet Wagner of Dallas; 3 grandsons, Blair Fangman and wife Melissa of North Platte, NB, Kurtis Fangman and wife Amanda of Justin, TX, and Rocky Smith of Dallas, TX; 2 grandaughters, Kara Fangman of Amarillo, TX and Rachel Smith of Dallas, TX; 7 great-grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.
