Mary Virginia Giles, 93, of Amarillo, died Thursday, September 22, 2016.
Graveside Services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 26, 2016 in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Jimmy Lee Holmes officiating Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo.
Mary was born October 18, 1922 in Amarillo to Jimmy and Aliff Holmes. She married Bob Harmon, the father of her children in 1946, and after he passed away, she was blessed with two more husbands who also preceded her in death. She worked for many years as a secretary for Sinclair Oil Company and Southwestern Public Service Company. She loved to travel and did so throughout the United States and Mexico.
She is preceded in death by three husbands, Bob Harmon, W.J. Jones Jr., and Marion Giles; two brothers, Eugene and Dub Holmes; and a step-son, Pat Jones.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Susan Harmon of Austin; two sons, Jimmy Harmon of Kevin, Montana and Bill Harmon and wife, Margaret of Amarillo; a step-son, Mike Jones and wife, Deanna of Amarillo; one brother, Jimmy Lee Holmes and wife, Rita of Mesquite; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Ware Living Center and BSA Hospice of the Southwest. They also suggest that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.
