Mary Louise Dovel

Mary Louise Dovel, 92, of Amarillo died April 7, 2021.

Private family graveside service will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Mary was born November 12, 1928 in Groom, TX to Charlie and Leta Garner. She married David Nelson Dovel (the love of her life) and they were married over 50 years before his passing on February 5, 2006. Mary was a member of Central Church of Christ and worked in sales. Mary never knew a stranger. Her love, laughter, and smile will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Nelson Dovel; son, Randy Lynn Dovel; brother, C.L. Garner; and 2 sisters, Bethel Robinson and Judy Oakley.

Mary is survived by her 2 daughters, Anita Dovel of Amarillo and Debra Kay Ross and husband, Daniel of Monument, CO; son, David Wayne Dovel and wife, Anne of Douglas, NE; sister-in-law, Alice Garner of Dalhart, TX; brother, Kenneth Russell of Oklahoma City, OK; and 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
