Mary Margaret Neidhardt, age 89, died November 28, 2013 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, December 2nd at Southwest Church of Christ with Mr. Lynn Camp, Mr. Ben Mereness and Mr. Kyle Wade officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mrs. Neidhardt was born November 25, 1924 in Pilot Point, Texas, to Byron and Kate Purcell Onstott. She married the love of her life, Ralph Neidhardt, February 6, 1945, in Pratt, Kansas. After moving to Amarillo, they were house parents for Christian Haven at High Plains Children’s Home for 25 years. Mary was also a receptionist for Everett B. Blanton, D.D.S. for several years. She was actively involved in play productions with the Amarillo Christian Schools and Mary loved to sing.
Mary loved her family and enjoyed family get-togethers. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; two brothers, Howard Purcell Onstott and Byron G. Onstott, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Ray and husband Moe of Amarillo, Kay Chisum and husband Matt of Stinnett, and Jana Blythe and husband Robert of Chillicothe, Ohio; a son, Robert Neidhardt and wife Belinda of Jacksonville, Florida;
Six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
