Linda was born in Lubbock, Texas to Clyde Edwin Mercer, and Mary Frances Tennison Mercer on July 13, 1949. She was raised on her family’s farm near Silverton, Texas “where she pushed her brother off the Barn more than once.” During her early years she enjoyed barrel racing. She graduated from Silverton High School. Linda had several hobbies and enjoyed crocheting blankets, and was an excellent cook. She worked for Amarillo National Bank for several years and at St Mary’s school. She loved kids and was an avid reader.She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed dearly.Preceded in death by her parents.Survived by her husband Don Prather of the home; two daughters, Lanecia Prather Errington of Amarillo, and Sabrina Ann Prather of Austin; two sons, Allen Dubose of Amarillo, and Matthew Prather of Dallas; two brothers, Joe Mercer of Wichita Falls, and Keith Klein of Frankfurt, Germany; Two grandchildren, Lindsay Sullivan, and Christopher Errington; one great- grandchild Landon Sullivan; and her loving dog Snoopy.Family Suggest Memorials be made to BSA Hospice P.O Box 950 Amarillo, Texas 79176
