Mary Wehtje, age 96 of Amarillo, died Friday, November 9, 2012.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
She was born in Portland Oregon on July 20, 1916 to Hugh & Jean Esson. In June, 1947, she married Donald C. Wehtje in Oregon City, OR. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Oregon State University in Corvallis Oregon and was a teacher until she began raising her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by 2 sons, Donald Wehtje of Amarillo and Glenn Wehtje and wife Norma of Auburn, AL and 2 grandsons, Nathan and Benjamin Wehtje.
