Melisha Jane Sell

Our loving mother, Melisha Jane Sell, sadly passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 73.

The viewing will be held at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 2-5:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3500 Bowie St.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

She devoted her life to her three children and four granddaughters.  She was an active member of the North Amarillo Lions Club and a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.  She loved her family and her animals dearly.  Her loving husband, Tony George Sell, of 48 years and her mother, Gerela Bell Standifer preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Melody Stephenson and husband, Bobby of Canyon, TX, and Tammy Bell of Amarillo; son, David Sell and wife, Maria of Houston, TX.  She had four granddaughters, Alyson Brownson and husband, Daniel Brownson, McKay Bell, Elizabeth Sell and Annie Jane Sell.  She is also survived by her two sisters, Kathryn Wilson and husband, Geno, of Canyon TX and Debbie Wells and husband, Russell Wells of Amarillo, TX and brother, Dane Ballew.  She also has many nieces and nephews that she adored.

She graduated from Caprock High School in 1966 and attended Amarillo College.  In addition to her devotion to her family, Melisha loved learning and especially had a love of reading and writing.  You would often find her reading several mystery books at once.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially playing Bunco with her friends.
