Melvin F. Schroepfer

Melvin Frank Schroepfer age 88 of Amarillo died Friday January 21, 2011.Memorial Services will be held at 4pm Monday January 24, 2011 at  in Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S Georgia St. with Rev. Bob Schroeder of Hillside Christian Church  officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.Melvin was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on July 18, 1922 unto Frank and Josie Schroepfer. He grew up and was educated in St Paul. After graduation he served in the Army Air Corp during World War 11 and was honorably discharged.After serving his country he moved to Amarillo and began his career as a self employed insurance agent. After retiring Melvin worked faithfully as a volunteer at the Thomas E. Creek Medical Center in Amarillo. Melvin was an “Ambassador of Goodwill” and he loved people.He was preceded by his parents. Survived by his wife Janis of the home, his son Mark of Santa Anna, CA, one step-son Randy Morgan of Dallas, TX, two step daughters, Juli Morgan Johnson of Amarillo, TX and Candy Hickman and her husband Jerry all of Wichita Falls.
