Michael C. Harris age 77, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
A private family memorial service will be held. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Michael was born on March 9, 1936 in Podo, Oklahoma to Otis and Edith Harris. He attended Washington State University.
He married Deelo Hyman on December 8, 1966. Throughout his life he worked for the city of Amarillo as a manager of the police department and was a musician on the side. His love for God and his family was absolute.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Pat St. Jarmain.
He is survived by his wife Dee; and a daughter Gloria Hornung and her husband Dave of Ottawa, Kansas.
The family suggests that memorials be made to COF Training Services for handicapped adults, 1516 North Davis Avenue, Ottawa, KS 66067.
