Michael Joseph McBride, 59, of Amarillo died July 7, 2013.
Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2013 in St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Michael was born December 19, 1953 in Pampa, Texas to Jasper and Harriet McBride. He married Patricia Klein June 20, 1992. Michael was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral. He was a master plumber and owned McBride Plumbing for 20 years. Michael loved his family and cherished all of his time spent with them. He was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Michael also loved to cook and made a “mean pot of beans.”
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sue McBride.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia McBride, two sons, Michael Joseph McBride, Jr and wife Jessica of Ft. Worth, and Mitchell Ray McBride and wife Kallie of Amarillo, three sisters, Mary Mayhew and husband Evan of Wichita, KS, Patty Manning and husband Randy of Keller, TX, and Jean Browning of Pampa, TX, a brother, John McBride and wife Melanie of Ft. Worth, and three grandchildren, Kyler, Mason, and Brylen.
