Michael H. McKnight

Michael was born January 8, 1958 in Amarillo to Kenneth and Dotty McKnight. He attended Palo Duro High School graduating in 1976 and Vernon Regional Junior College. He married Cindy Waddell, the love of his life, on March 20, 1998. He has two daughters, Erin and Kelli McKnight by a previous marriage.
His passion in life was his family and church. He was an active member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, and a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge. He was a dedicated member of the Golden Spread Emmaus community. He taught the New Horizon Sunday school class and was a worship leader. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. All who knew him will miss him. He was employed by Flying Star Transportation.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Carole McKnight, a grandmother, Wilma Snelson, his mother and father-in-law, Jimmie and Cherry Waddell, his wife, Cindy, daughters Erin and Kelli McKnight all of Amarillo; his sister, Phyllis and brother-in-law Kevin Maguire of Essex, Illinois, five brothers-in-law, five sisters-in law, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that he loved and adored.
His mother, Dotty McKnight, who died in 1985, preceded him in death.
The Pallbearers are Jimmie Cain, Jason Cain, Tyler Tarbet, Trevor Tarbet, Blake Waddell, Josh Waddell, Shane Moke, and Hunter Moke. Honorary Pallbearers are Austin Tucker and the New Horizon Sunday School Class.
