Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 28, 2009, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Rev. Hector Madrigal will officiate.  Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Amarillo, Tx.  Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia Private Rosary Service will be held for family.Mike was born on March 13, 1954 to Miguel Flores Sr. and Epifania Gonzalez Flores.  He attended Southland Schools all twelve years.  After a five year courtship, Mike and Karen Shappell were married on May 1, 1991 in Slaton, Tx.  In December 1993, Mike and Karen moved to Amarillo where he had supervised the maintenance of the Candlewyck Plaza Apartments for the past 16 years.  Survivors include his wife, Karen; two sons, Mike Jesse Flores III and wife, Kristen of Galesburg MI and Mike Langley of Austin, Tx.; five daughters, Michelle Flores of Enterprise, Al, Charo Janie DelosRios and husband, Ruben of Orion, MI, Amy Blalock and husband Erik of Amarillo, Tx., Monique Valderaz and Gloria Flores of Slaton, Tx; his mother, Epifania Gonzalez Flores of Southland, Tx; his sister, Mary Ellen Garza and husband, Paul of Slaton, Tx; Grandchildren, Alexandria and Elizabeth Flores of Galesburg, MI, Ruben III, Elisa and Daniela DelosRios of Orion MI, Gabriella Cordero of Hutto, Tx, Katelynn Tidwell and Angel Blalock of Amarillo, Tx, Jordon Garcia, Tannon, Trevor, Tara , and Evan Cearley of Slaton, Tx, and Emilio Cruz Soto DelaFlores of Buellton, CA; four nephews, Paul and Erik Garza of Slaton, Tx, Jimmy Campbell of Austin, Tx, Danny Campbell of Amarillo, Tx; a niece, Angela Garza of Slaton, Tx; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all of the Lubbock area.
