Mildred Norine Wilkinson was born May 23, 1943 in Raton, New Mexico, to Van B.Wilkinson and Virginia England Wilkinson. She graduated from Des Moines New Mexico High School and attended the University of New Mexico. She graduated from Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing in 1967 and worked many years as an RN in Canadian and Hereford. On May 23, 1969 she married Raymond E. Gill in Lipscomb. She was a member of the Panhandle Pastel Society. She loved everyone and especially her nieces and nephews who felt everyone should have an “Aunt Mildred.” She had the most loving and giving heart.
Her hobbies were reading, art, travel, music, ballet, flowers, her cats, and the great outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gill; her parents; two sisters, Peggy Elaine and Patricia June; and two nephews, Roger Adams and Malcolm Jones; and one niece, Elaine Gravely.
SURVIVORS: She is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Smith of Gordon, GA; Jeanne Jones of Des Moines, NM; and Beverly Hanlon and husband, Bruce, of Amarillo; three sisters-in-law, Linda Hopper and Pat Ramirez of Higgins; and Gladys Gregory; two brothers-in-law, Bob Gill of Higgins and Ronald Gill; and many beloved nieces, nephews, two adopted nephews and many friends, including two special friends, Paula Mingus and Lee Vance.
