Mildred Fay McKinney, 91, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Rev. Chad Mantooth of Temple Baptist Church will be officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home - 4100 S. Georgia.
Mildred was born on May 6, 1920 in Turkey, Texas to Vollie and Velma Mullis. She worked for American National Insurance for over thirty years. She had lived in Houston for the past six years to be closer to family.
Mildred was a very quiet, kind lady that was easy to be around. She stayed in the background and observed, noting the needs of others and tending to them. Mildred adored her family, but her joy was made complete in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her brother Rod Mullis.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Roman of Houston, TX and Veda Butler and her husband Dennis of Denver, CO; 1 Brother, Jack Mullis and wife, Ethlee of Amarillo, TX; three grandchildren, Dondi, Amber and Ryan; four great grandchildren, Morgan, Logan,
Payton and Harper.
The family suggests memorials to Temple Baptist Church, 3208 S Van Buren St, Amarillo, TX 79109.
