Minnie Lou Clements

Minnie Lou Clements, 84, of Amarillo died December 27, 2019.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ, 2700 E. 34th. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Minnie was born August 1, 1935 in Balko, OK to Annie Belle Clark and Robert Eugene Fish. She was the youngest of 10 siblings who all preceded her in death. Minnie was raised on a farm during the dust bowl and having to live in poverty, she endured the hardships, which made her a stronger woman both spiritually and emotionally. She graduated from Balko High School in 1953 and moved to Amarillo in 1956 with her sister. She later met her future husband, Albert Clements to whom she was married to for 23 years. Together, they raised 2 children Kevin Clements of Canyon and Karl Clements of Amarillo. She was very blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Minnie was a follower of the Church of Christ for over 65 years with her last church home being, Comanche Trails Church of Christ.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing and being a caregiver around the community. In 2003, Minnie retired from MRL as a Manager after 25 years.
