Nancy Jackson

Nancy Maurece Jackson died June 13, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2019 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2019 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial services will be at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas.

Nancy Maurece Jackson was born January 26, 1961 in Shreveport,   Louisiana, to Bill and Windene Mobley.  They later moved to        Amarillo, Texas, where she graduated from Carver High School.

Nancy married the love of her life, Gary Jackson, on August 22, 1981. They enjoyed nearly 38 years of marriage and the life they    created together. Her hobbies included spending time with her      husband, children and grandchildren, traveling, helping those in   recovery since her own recovery began on February 4, 2004, loving her rescue dogs and praising God, to whom she devoted her life.

Nancy earned her LVN certification from Amarillo College and spent several years working as a nurse.  She later returned to school and   graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.

She is preceded in death by her mother and her sister, Pamela Mobley.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gary, son Ryan Jackson and     fiancee Kala Kallestad, of Odessa, daughter Tiffany McDaniel and husband Chris, daughter Jennifer Smith and husband Dustin, all of Amarillo, daughter Melissa Jackson and fiance Andrew Rivera, of Austin, son Eric Jackson and fiancee Stacey Ovalle of Colorado Springs, grandchildren Denver, Carter and Kemper Smith, and Hazel McDaniel of Amarillo, Amariah Rivera, Amarie Sanchez and Alina Rivera of Austin, father Bill Mobley, and brother Mike of Amarillo. She was loved by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends who will miss her  tremendously.
