Naomi Jane Sherlock

Naomi Jane Sherlock, 96, passed peacefully on October 16, 2021 in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October, 22, 2021 in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

She was born on May 13, 1925 in Enid, Oklahoma to Frank and Edith (Alexander) Hastie.  She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and attended Amarillo High School, graduating in 1943.  In 1947, she married Raymond Sherlock and they had 2 children, Cindy and Richard.

Naomi owned and operated a Montgomery Wards store in Columbia Falls, Montana.  She also taught Whitefish Junior Bowling.  She was always involved and a wonderful mother to her own kids but also to many other children, as well.  Her active enthusiasm in bowling got her inducted to the WBA Hall of Fame. The last few years of bowling she was legally blind and reluctantly quit at age 90.  Naomi was also a seamstress, involved in 4-H, Cowbells, and held various positions in many clubs and organizations. After retirement, she lived in Amarillo for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Martin; parents, Frank and Edith Hastie; brothers, Frank (Tex) and Earl; Sisters, Evelyn McMahan and Wilma Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Rich (Dona); sister, Bernice Webb; grandchildren, Rich (Kathy) Strand, Mike Moen; great-grandchildren, Tosha (Korey) Heimdahl, Kayla Moen, and Troy Moen and many other family and friends.
