Neva Jean Watson

Neva Jean Watson, 81, of Amarillo died January 13, 2020.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Neva was born October 24, 1938 in Oktaha, OK to Earl and Beulah Miller. She attended college in San Angelo where she obtained her degree as an LVN. Neva married Billy Dale Watson and together, they spent 67 wonderful years together. After retirement in the medical field, she and Billy re-located to several different states managing retirement homes. She loved her children and family dearly.

Neva was very creative and artistic. She enjoyed quilting with Billy, sewing, painting, cooking and making her own Christmas decorations. She was always personable and the first one to make a new friend wherever she went.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl Miller and Jim Miller; and sister, Lois McDonald.

Neva is survived by her husband, Billy Dale Watson; children, Billy Lynn Watson (Shirley), Ricky Watson (Millie), Gaylon Watson and Shelly Watson (Sandy); siblings, Dolores Hannah, Sharon Scott, Debbie Cleveland (Gene) and Kevin Miller (Terri); grandchildren, Amy (Matt), Ricky Jr. (Jessica), Justin and Cody (Jennifer); and 4 great-grandchildren, Ricky III, Penny, Zuri and Zanity.
