Nicholas Harold Carney

Harold “Pop” Carney, age 83 of Amarillo, died July 6, 2012 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM at South Georgia Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Miller will officiate. Private graveside will be held at St. Mary’s cemetery in Groom. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Pop was born in Groom Texas on November 17, 1928. He served in the United States Air Force before starting a career in the oil and gas industry. Pop was a catholic.
Pop is survived by his son, Larry and wife Bonnie, his brother Jerry Carney, his grandchildren Jeramy and wife Tara, and Jennifer Ramirez and husband Anthony, all of Amarillo. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Maretta, and Trae Ramirez, and Matthew, Aaron, and Jonathan Carney, all of Amarillo.
