Norma Jean Townsend Dalton, 76 of Amarillo, Texas went to be our Lord and Savior on October 9, 2012.
Family Visitation will be held on Monday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be October 16 at 10:00 am Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th, with Robert Bennet officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
She was born April 14, 1936 in Memphis, TX to Lewis and Violet Townsend. She married Harvey Dalton, May 29, 1953 in Hobbs, NM. She and Harvey traveled with the United States Army for many years until settling in Amarillo, Texas.
She participated in the Pilot International Club. She worked for AISD over 30 years retiring from Caprock High School (1975-1995.)
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers, Bobby and Donald Townsend.
She is survived by 3 children: Timothy and wife Denie of Littleton Co, Michael of Gaithersburg MD, and Vanessa and husband Philip Taylor of Amarillo Tx,
1 sister: Trilby Skelton and her husband BT
7 grandchildren: Christopher Dalton, Kirstie & Chas Fristoe,
Sarah and Brandon Boileau, Mattie Dalton& Justin Taylor
1 precious great granddaughter Lillian Kadence Fristoe
Her sisters-in-laws: Maxine Dalton and Judy Townsend.
