Norma D. "Granny" Jackson

November 16, 1931 — December 20, 2010

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday December 23, 2010 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S Georgia St. Amarillo, Texas.Norma was born in Dickens, Texas to Walter and Zela (Hawley) Edwards on November 16, 1931. She was a cook in the restaurant industry for many years. She had been married to Jim Jackson and they continued to stay friends after they divorced. She loved birds and squirrels and spent many hours on her front porch. She also enjoyed Crocheting, and listening to Gospel music. Norma’s door was always open and she never turned away anyone. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.She is survived by her daughters, Gale Carlson, and Jo Rodriguez; sons, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jackson, and Johnny Jackson all of Amarillo; her former husband Jim Jackson; brother Harold Edwards of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and three great –great grandchildren.They family will receive friends today at the Funeral home from 6 to 8 PM.The family will be at 3607 S.
