Norris Boyd Rogers, 94, of Amarillo and formerly of Cameron, Texas, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron, Texas with Clifford Angel officiating. Local arrangements are by Marek, Burns, Laywell Funeral Home, Inc. Amarillo arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mr. Rogers was born in Cameron, Texas to Goodhue and Oma Rogers. He married the love of his life, Lealia Hause in Rosebud, Texas.
Norris was a custom harvester and rancher for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Cowboy Church in Cameron.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Eleanor Taweatt.
Survivors include his wife, Lealia of Amarillo; daughter, LaNell Daniel and husband, Robert, of Amarillo; two grandsons, Bobby Daniel of Canyon and Randy Daniel of Amarillo; great-granddaughters, Meagan and Emily Daniel of Canyon; great-grandson, Ryden Daniel of Amarillo; a sister, Dorothy Fleming and nephew, Larry Fleming of Alice, TX; and a niece, Kay Seeley of Cameron.
