Ocean Sage Medina

At only thirteen months old, Ocean Sage Medina was unexpectedly called back to his heavenly home on August 21, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia.  Rev. Anthony Neusch of St. Mary’s Cathedral will officiate.

Our beautiful baby, Ocean Sage, was born in Amarillo on July 27, 2022.  He brought such joy to our lives.  Being the youngest of our children, he knew he was the baby and got away with a lot!

Ocean woke up each and every morning with a smile on his face and laughed throughout the day. When his big brothers would come home from school, his eyes would light up, and they would be greeted with his fantastic smile.  He did, on occasion, pester his big brothers as he would snatch their drinks and brownies.

Like many toddlers, Ocean loved attention.  He would stand at his mother's feet while she prepared dinner and beg to be held.  Edith prepared many nights’ family dinners while holding Ocean on her hip.  Another thing that delighted Ocean was seeing his father come in the door from work.  His joy and smile will be forever cherished and remembered.

Ocean is survived by his parents, Ramon Medina and Edith Cordova; his two brothers, Grayson Emilio Medina and Noel Emilio Medina; his grandparents, Rosa Pena, Octavio Cordova, Paula Medina, and Ramon Medina; his great-grandparents Evelyn Gonzales and Agapito Gonzales; his aunt Emely Medina; his uncle Manuel Medina; and the entire Cordova and Pena Families.
