Olivia Pickard

Olivia V. Pickard, 91, met her Savior on Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Schooler Funeral Home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Lance Herrington officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo.

Olivia was born July 8, 1926 in Earle, Arkansas to Clayton and Bertha Miller. She and E.J. were married in 1949 in Munford, TN.  After graduating Drones Business College she worked a short time at an accounting firm before leaving the workforce to spend the next years raising 5 daughters.  Once she moved from Tennessee to Texas, Olivia worked at both Tascosa High School and Bushland ISD as a secretary. After retirement she worked at Paramount Baptist church  in their preschool and mother’s day out ministry.

Olivia was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. “Jake” and two sisters, Rebecca and Joan.

She is survived by one brother, Carl Miller; daughters, Lynn Turner and husband Ben, Suzanne Schroder and husband Rod, Pat James, Laurie Fitzgerald, and Melinda Howard and husband Robert; as well as 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
