Opal W. Holman, 90, of Amarillo, passed peacefully away on January 17, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Memorial Services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Arrangements are with Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Opal was born on January 31, 1924 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to James Gilbert and Bertha Wales.
She loved being around her family and doing all kinds of craft. She enjoyed gardening, and loved to bowl. .
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings James Howard, Iona, and Charlie.
She is survived by a son Keith M. Taylor of Amarillo; a daughter Parthena Nelson and husband Sonny of Davis, OK; one granddaughter Stacie Boham and husband Steve; three great-grandchildren Shelby, Katy, and Coby all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Stephens United Methodist Church 4600 S. Western St. Amarillo, Texas
