Oran F. Rhea, Jr., 82, died November 22, 2015 in Amarillo.
Memorial services that were scheduled for Saturday, November 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Southwest Church of Christ HAVE BEEN POSTPONED due to the weather and will be held at a later date.
Oran was born in Ackerly, Texas on April 30, 1933 to Oran and Nancy Rhea. He married Frances Telchik February 14, 1953, who preceded him in death in July of 2009.
Oran was an active member of Southwest Church of Christ and was an advocate for Seniors in nursing homes in and around the Amarillo area. The family would like to thank Pandra Keeling, Jan Werner adult day care, Southwest Church of Christ, and the nurses at BSA Hospice for their love and support of our dad over the last several years. The family suggest memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, 11461 South Western Street Amarillo, Texas 79118.
He is survived by: Royce and wife Katie from Franklin, TN, John and wife Donna from Amarillo, Janis Polson and husband Zane from Branson, MO, and Lanis Graham and husband Ky from Graham, TX; along with 13 grandchildren and 8 soon to be 9 great-grandchildren.
